Positive Legacy

One World United Through Music

Positive Legacy, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, works to magnify the cultural experiences of those attending Strings & Sol and to inspire music fans and artists to collectively take action and build a better world. Positive Legacy creates meaningful opportunities to participate in humanitarian and environmental outreach projects that support the local community.

We would like to thank all the fans, artists and musicians who supported Positive Legacy during Strings & Sol in 2017. Together we raised over $23,000! These funds will be supporting the building of a much-needed school and community structure in Central Vallarta.

We thank the fans who joined us on the Day of Service in Central Vallarta where we worked to improve the community gathering space, enjoyed live music, swam and ziplined into a cenote and interacted with the local community members. More details on how you can get involved at Strings & Sol 2018 will be coming soon.

Strings & Sol 2017 fans joined the Positive Legacy team for a memorable visit to the nearby community of Central Vallarta. With some help from locals, we painted a mural, planted trees, worked on the playground, and cleared the ground for the foundation of the new building structure, which Positive Legacy provided grant funds to be built. After the hard work we enjoyed the zip line and cliff jump into a refreshing cenote. We were treated to a traditional Mexican lunch with music from the local band, who were joined by Tim Carbone and Andy Goessling of Railroad Earth.

More information on the 2018 Day of Service will be announced soon. We hope to see you all there!
We are pleased to announce that Positive Legacy was able to raise over $20,000 in the Strings & Sol 2017 charity auction! With a diverse array of items such as wrapped instruments, local art, artist memorabilia, and autographed photos from Dave Vann, Josh Timmermans, and Dylan Langille, it was our greatest success to date! We’d like to give a special thanks to all the participants in the auction, including artists: Vince Herman, Andy Thorn, Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon and Jay Cobb of Fruition. If you have an item you'd like to donate, contact Positive Legacy!
